Oddometer: 3,202. Location: Spain. No real issues for me on the 890 in 35c Spanish sun. Though perhaps at those temps the engine heat can't really be felt anymore than the regular hot ass weather. The bike does run warm, fans come on regularly, but I don't have an issue with legs getting cooked. The short answer is: Yes, the BoosterPlug and the O2 (Lambda) sensor will prevent the motorcycle engine from running too lean - with or without the catalytic converter in the exhaust system. As mentioned above, the O2 sensor will adjust the air/fuel ratio in closed loop mode (High RPM), so the decat will not damage your engine. But at idle, lowI have 2020 790 r and after 900 miles noticed partial loss of clutch performance. After the usual corporate response from KTM reps (have never heard of this problem, yada, yada, yada) I pulled clutch out and examined springs (they had collapsed by .031") which would explain the hair trigger clutch. After examining the clutch drive plates (theyIn the photo at the bottom the Trail Tech light on the left (Baja designs on the right) looks like it would have space behind/under the headlight for a sideways panel. Guys used to run BadAss 950 Super Enduro's with Baja race lights and if you can ditch the Mantis-head the 790/890 would be a sweet looking bike too.
