Use the bulk delete feature. First query all issues belonging to the epic with a query like this: "Epic Link" = YOUR EPIC KEY. Then bulk delete all the issues:
From there, we can look for epics, that are not parent epics of the issues that have the label. I think you want to remove the Bug level name (bugs will sit with stories in the standard issue types level). This will give you Initiatives as a parent level to Epics. You cannot remove Epic level, as it is part of the fundamental issue type hierarchy in Jira, not just Advanced Roadmaps. Totally agree with @Danielle Green answer.
